AS-4/JAUS Working Group
Columbus, OH

CURRENT DOCUMENTS Available on this page is the current JAUS documentation. The JAUS documentation consists of the following documents:

  1. Domain Model (DM)
Written in non-technical language, the DM presents a requirements model of the User. It does this by organizing similar functions, similar knowledge, and similar devices into Functional Agents (FA), Knowledge Stores (KS), and Device Groups (DG), respectively.

  2. Reference Architecture (RA)
Written in technical language, the RA defines:
         a. System Topology
         b. Specific Components and their interfaces (messages)
         c. Methods for message passing
         d. Standards to support Component Integration
The services and capabilities in the RA are traceable back to the DM. Moreover, the RA does not presuppose any hardware configuration or specific technology.

  3. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
The SOP sets forth the procedures and processes for the conduct of JAUS Working Group business.

  4. Document Control Plan (DCP)
The DCP states how the JAUS Working Group conducts its configuration management responsibilities.

  5. Strategic Plan (SP)
The SP establishes the Vision and Mission Statements, and provides guidance as to the path ahead.
Also available on this page is an online Inspection Form (IF). IFs are used to recommend changes to the JAUS documentation and then to track and record the change process.
