| The JAUS Working Group
(WG) was chartered in 1998 to develop JAUS, gain UGV community acceptance,
and expand the architecture. It has over 45 members from 20+ different
Government agencies, companies, and universities. The WG meets 3-4
times a year in various locations and is open to anyone with an interest
in JAUS. To contact a Committee Chairman, please see the page on Committees.
The WG is organized into officers and committees. Each committee
has a Chairman nominated by the WG. There is generally one committee
for each document of the architecture. Members populate the committees
and may serve on subcommittees formed to address a specific issue.
The Committee Chairman is responsible for achieving consensus (or
not) and bringing recommended changes to the WG for a vote.
The WG uses the SOP as its guide for conducting business and the
DCP as the source for performing Configuration Management functions.
